Every year, the media gets a buzzing about resolutions, the same people start some wacko diet, and you start to wonder what in the world you’ll do in the new year. On one hand, new year’s poses a really exciting chance – to make fun goals and achieve them in the coming year. On the other, it can be both daunting and a little silly. Why can’t we just make resolutions on any day we feel the need to? The truth is, we do. We make lots of little resolutions all year and accomplish many of them and fail at a few.
So what about you? Will you make resolutions for the new year? I’ll make a few for the plain reason that it’s fun. Here are mine:
– stay in the moment and love it for all it’s worth.
– remember that every moment is fleeting, so the bad times will go just as the good times will
– build stronger existing and new relationships
I’m tempted to list out more, but those are probably already being worked on and would crowd a perfectly balanced, 3 item list!
Resolutions or not, celebrate everything you’ve done and take a moment to savor what you’ve accomplished, happy or sad, hard or exciting – you did it and that’s all that matters!
