when you’re short, stubby, and covered in pretty white hair, the world seems awful big to you. sophie’s always impressed me with her growth in confidence over the years, especially considering we live deep in the chaos of the city with loud noises, lots of people, and feet swinging inches from her face. even with all of that danger and risk, sophie carries on. what’s more, sophie can pick herself back up again after getting spooked or nervous. unlike a lot of us, she doesn’t let the scary things get her down.
sophie’s resiliency is something that she shares with a lot of dogs – the ability to trust and move forward even if things got bad for a bit. what’s more, sophie sits and sees the world with a quiet confidence and eager curiosity that only serves to better her well being and opportunities. if something scares or ignites the fear factor within you, don’t let it pull you down. sit straight up and face the problem head on. besides, no one ever got anywhere slouching.
