ever reminisce on a monday about how awesome the weekend was, or wish it were the weekend again? yeah, me too. in fact, this is me most weeks!! and even though I love my job, I know it’s a bad sign if I’m pining after the weekends 5 out of the 7 days each week. here’s something though that can help minimize those wishful thoughts – do a little more relaxing during the week. you’ve probably got your day job or school (or both), personal errands, and commitments to attend to, but how much time do you allocate for relaxing?
sophie is extremely good at this relaxing thing. she let’s her tongue hang out several times a day – a sure sign that she’s happy and healthy. and guess what? it makes a world of difference for her and for the people around her. so with sophie’s advice, I’m going to make more of a concerted effort to relax in the ways that I like to relax – this doesn’t mean that we need to stop moving towards our goals or give up on progressing, but rather, taking time to recharge so that you can give your dreams your all. for me, my new down time is going to involve some sunshine, funny videos, and sending sweet messages to friends.
find your favorite ways to unwind, and then make time for those things. it doesn’t have to be for long periods of time, just enough to raise your happiness levels and keep your mind from being too wishful about the weekend. go ahead, let your tongue hang out a bit.
