“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Being who you are is a great challenge that only gets more difficult as we move through our twenties. There are silly pulls between being yourself and being who others want you to be. We pay bills, exercise, and try our best to better ourselves. But at the core of everything we do, there is only ourselves. We are who we are and who we are is a beautiful thing. Sophie is who she is and there’s not a soul in this world that’s going to change her. She does what she wants and is who she wants to be. She’s open to being a better version of herself, but she doesn’t stray too far outside of who she is at her core – who the genuine sweet Sophie is. This is a good lesson to remember. Think about all the different dogs you’ve met and all of their different personalities. They improve with training, learn to respect others through experience, but at the core, they are who they are. Being who you are (and being the best you) is hard, but being someone you’re not is the worst way to live a life. Be you – everyone loves you that way!
