a couple months back, I entered a new decade. something about the change in age had me even more interested in giving back to the community than I already had been. thankfully, I have a full time job that allows me to do just that. but, I also want to give back in my free time and find ways to help uplift and energize one specific thing in particular – I want to spend my time helping other women (both those that are mothers and not) rise up and succeed in life. I’ve been lucky enough to have a very supportive mother in addition to a ton of uplifting people around me and I want to be able to do that for others.
for me, giving back starts with story telling. if people can hear the stories behind hardships and causes, they are more likely to relate and understand the difficult situations. story telling helps highlight the truths behind people and it’s core to basic humanity. so, it is with great pleasure that I announce my very first shop that uses storytelling to raise awareness and appreciation for mothers and the women who are mothers. the shop is small and run through teespring, which has allowed me to create my own designs and sell them through the storefront. it’s my hope that kids and adults wear these and subtly remind people of the importance of supporting women. (and p.s., I know there are some men out there that are mothers too, and I’m thinking about ways to help highlight those amazing people).
